Carrick Out With Foot Injury

Posted by Keano! on June 1, 2009

Michael Carrick will be out of action for England’s World Cup Qualifiers. The United midfielder was sent home by the England medical team when the team met up in their hotel.

It was advised to Carrick not to play as they didn’t feel he would withstand the pressures of International football on it.

Michael was replaced by Aston Villa’s young gun, James Milner, former Newcastle United man. England have two upcoming games this month and Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand are all in the squad for the games. However,

Ferdinand sat out training with the team when a long standing calf strain acted up again today. He is expected to be back in training on Wednesday and fit to play the first of two World Cup Qualifiers away in Kazakhstan.
