That Elusive FA Cup

Posted by Keano! on May 31, 2009

Not since the grand old season of 2004, which saw players like Diego Forlan, Quinton Fortune, Kleberson and Djemba-Djemba don the United shirt, have we won the world famous FA Cup. Eleven times it has had our name engraved into its illustrious list, but Manchester United has evaded it for long enough I think.

Its not that we haven’t been good enough, no. More complacency, bad luck and poor refereeing decisions are the deciding factors to why United haven’t grabbed a 12th, 13th and maybe even 14th FA Cup.

Posted by Keano! on May 30, 2009

Another season has come and gone in the world of football and as always, it brings its highs and lows. MUN has comprised a list of United’s Five Highs and Five Lows for the 2008/2009 season. Some are blatantly obvious, and some maybe not so much, but either way, everyone will have their views on the season.

While the lows were hard to come by in all fairness, the highs list was endless and triumphs in the World Club Cup and Carling Cup miss out on MUN’s top 5 believe it or not along with Ryan Giggs stunning achievement of landing the PFA Player Of The Year award for the first time in his illustrious career.

A Man United fan in Nigeria has been arrested after he killed four Barcelona supporters and injured ten others in the town of Ogbo. The man who has not been named yet, seemingly took United’s defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League final very badly and when driving by a large group of Barcelona fans celebrating after their win, something clicked in the drivers head, who made a sharp U-turn and drove straight into the crowd.

Posted by Keano! on May 17, 2009

When United play Arsenal, there’s always tonnes of ideas each team has on how the others will play. Well, after United played Arsenal yesterday and sealed their League crown with a 0-0 draw, cameras were allowed inside the dressing room after the game to take in all the celebrations.

The staff and Fergie had left the last few points of the half time team talk on an LCD screen beside a traditional tactics board and a camera caught this. Read the rest of this entry »
