United Strike Deal With Aigo

Manchester United have declared that they will be teaming up with Chinese technology company, Aigo in a deal which will see Aigo become the official camera and picture branch of Manchester United for five years.

Sir Bobby Charlton, club director and icon was the man who broke the news on a trip to Beijing today where he said he and the club were delighted with the piece of business.

United Announce Record Profits

Manchester United today announced that the club had made record operating profits over the 2008/2009 season and now see themselves sitting on top of the global money tree as it were. The Premier League champions made £71.8m, although still see La Liga giants, Real Madrid ahead of them in terms of revenue generated which at the end of the day is much bigger.

Theses facts and figures were compiled by Deloitte’s Annual Review of Football Finance who will have pleased United’s American owners, (The Glazers) that the £500M debt they landed on the football club when buying it will be paid off. United confirmed an £80M shirt sponsorship deal with American group, AON Corp. yesterday which will see the replace current sponsors AIG in 2010.

New Shirt Sponsorship Deal Announced

Its been confirmed by Manchester United that they will be leaving AIG come the end of the 2009/2010 season and partner up with American outfit, AON Corporation who have declared themselves absolutely thrilled with the news of this deal which is expected to earn United more then what they were getting with AIG.

This means that AIG will be the sponsor on United’s shirts for the coming year but it will be their last as AON will takeover in the Summer of 2010. The two parties have agreed a four year contract for the shirt deal. AON are the world’s leading risk advisor and human capital consultant and is a major money move for both.

Speaking on the confirmed deal, chief executive David Gill said,

Rome 09: United Unveil Pre-Match Mosaic

Manchester United and Stretford End Flags (SEF) confirmed today that before the kick-off of the Champions League final in Rome next week, they will have another mosaic covering their end as the teams emerge for their final game of the season.

Last season, United portrayed the “BELIEVE” message in both their semi-final game at home to Barcelona and in Moscow when they played Chelsea in the final. They have however decided to change the message this time around and all United fans I have spoken to so far are very happy with the final decision.
