Dressing Room Camaraderie Eases Pain – Rio

Rio Ferdinand has spoken of his belief that the friendships and banter among the current crop of United players will ease the pain suffered in Rome last month when Barcelona basically taught Manchester United a lesson for 80 minutes.

Ferdinand who is  a clear leader in the United setup has to look like the leader on and off the pitch and these comments add to it. Speaking to, Rio unveiled all with regards to who are the dressing room jokers and whose names are usually found at the end of a dressing room prank, and that when the laughing and joking knows no barriers with his teammates, there is a clear one with Ferguson which they have to respect says Rio,

Rome 09: Ferdinand May Start

Rio Ferdinand didn’t play against Hull at the KC, when he was expected to feature in order to boost his fitness and get in some game time before the Champions League final in 2 days. Ferguson had stated that if Rio couldn’t prove his fitness, then he would not play against the Spanish champions, Barcelona.

Ferdinand has been out of the team since the second leg against Arsenal in the Champions League semi-final with a calf strain and has since missed four league games against Manchester City, Wigan Athletic, Arsenal and most recently, Hull City.

England Call Upon Gary Neville

Gary Neville has been re-called up to the England setup with the squad for South Africa in mind. The United right back who has suffered several injuries over the recent months is looking to regain some of his form at club level.

Its Neville’s first call up under Fabio Capello and the aging defender will want to prove a point in what will be his last major International tournament should England be in South Africa next Summer.

Neville who lifted the Premier League trophy recently for United at Old Trafford will be in the squad to face Andorra and Kazakhstan in the qualifiers for the World Cup.
